City Guide: Things to do While Boating in Hallandale Beach

City Guide: Things to do While Boating in Hallandale Beach

Hallandale Beach is conveniently located near Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Hollywood Beach. Part of South Florida’s Broward County, the up-and-coming area offers affluent neighborhoods, beautiful beaches, a world-class racetrack and protected natural areas in a residential setting. A private boat dock rental in Hallandale Beach gives you easy access to the A1A, the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW), the Atlantic Ocean and the canals of Golden Isles and Three Islands. Most importantly though, Hallandale Beach holds a special place in our hearts because it's where PierShare started!

Hollywood Beach Broadwalk

Hollywood, Florida 33019

The Hollywood Beach Broadwalk has been named one of America’s Best Beach Boardwalks by Travel + Leisure. We would have to agree. This 2.5-mile paved walkway runs alongside the soft sand, palm trees and pastel-colored lifeguard stations of Hollywood Beach. It’s wide enough that the walkers, runners, bikers and in-line skaters have plenty of space. There are cafes, restaurants, shops, hotels, bike rental shops and three parks along the way.

The main hub of the Broadwalk would have to be the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort with its FlowRider surf simulator, restaurants and laid-back atmosphere. Enjoy a plate of shrimp and frosty drinks at the Landshark Bar and Grill, which overlooks the Hollywood Beach Theatre (a.k.a. “Bandshell”). Local bands often play (and it’s free). There’s a Water Taxi stop right across the street from the Margaritaville resort at the 5 O’clock Somewhere Bar on the ICW.

Oleta River State Park, on Biscayne Bay, is a little slice of peace and nature just 30 minutes from downtown Miami. At 1,043 acres, it’s Florida’s largest urban park. It makes a nice excursion from a private boat slip rental in Hallandale or Aventura.

This is the place to go for paddleboarding among mangroves, sabal palms and casuarina trees. Pack a picnic, bring the rod and reel or break out the snorkel gear. The 1,515-mile Florida Circumnavigational Saltwater Paddling Trail goes through the park. There are also gardens, cabins and campsites.

Whether your private boat dock for rent in Hallandale is at Golden Isles Lake, Eastern Shores or Harbor Islands, we hope you’ve found some new things to see and do in Hallandale, Florida.
