Whether you’re fishing and boating or exploring the charming squares and Victorian-era architecture of downtown, Brunswick is a popular destination to visit from vacation rentals, boat dock rentals or marinas. Along with the barrier islands of St. Simons, Sea Island, Little St. Simons and Jekyll Island, Brunswick is part of the Golden Isles region.

Lover's Oak

In the South, grand oak trees dripping with Spanish moss are the norm. Lover's Oak, a famous live oak tree, is said to be more than 900 years old. The tree's name is tied to local Native American legends of love and romance. It has become a symbol of the town’s enduring spirit. 

Mary Ross Waterfront Park

The scenic Mary Ross Waterfront Park offers stunning views of the East River harbor and surrounding marshlands. It’s a perfect place for picnicking, walking or simply enjoying the coastal breeze from a private boat lift for rent in Brunswick. The park also hosts the Brunswick Farmer's Market, where you can purchase fresh local produce and artisanal goods.

The Ritz Theatre

A beautifully restored Art Deco theater, the Ritz Theatre hosts concerts, plays, film screenings and art exhibits. It’s a cultural hub for both residents and visitors looking to enjoy local arts and entertainment.

Sidney Lanier Bridge

The Sidney Lanier Bridge, named after the famous Georgia poet, is the longest in the state. Spanning the Brunswick River, it offers stunning panoramic views, especially during sunrise or sunset. It’s an excellent spot for photos and sightseeing day trips from private boat slip rentals. 

Marshes of Glynn Overlook Park

Immortalized in the poetry of Sidney Lanier, the vast and beautiful marshlands surrounding Brunswick provide opportunities for kayaking, fishing and birdwatching. The marshes are home to a variety of wildlife and offer a peaceful escape into nature. Check out the Lanier Oak (where it’s said that the poet stood in the 1870s and became inspired to write the poem) while you're there.
