Fort Point Lighthouse

Overlooking the mouth of the Mersey River, Fort Point Lighthouse dates to 1855 and is one of Nova Scotia’s most photographed beacons. Visitors can explore the small museum inside and enjoy scenic walking trails around the point. It’s an ideal spot for sunset views and coastal photography.

The engaging Queens County Museum highlights Liverpool’s rich privateering history during the War of 1812, when the town was one of Canada’s leading privateer ports. Exhibits include ship models, artifacts and maritime memorabilia that bring the town’s seafaring story to life. It’s an excellent spot to visit from private boat dock rentals.

Built in 1766, Perkins House is one of the oldest surviving homes in Nova Scotia. Overlooking the harbor, this Georgian-style house offers a glimpse into colonial life with period furnishings and guided tours that explore Liverpool’s early settlement years.

Privateer Park

Located along the waterfront, the 4.4-acre Privateer Park celebrates Liverpool’s privateering heritage with interpretive displays and green space. Astor Theatre

Built in 1902, the Astor Theatre is Canada’s oldest continuously operating performing arts venue. The beautifully restored interior hosts live music, theater performances and classic film screenings, adding cultural vibrancy to the small-town setting.

Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct

Part of Kejimkujik National Park Seaside, this protected coastal area features dramatic Atlantic headlands, turquoise shallows and rare coastal barrens ecosystems.
