Monte Carlo Casino

The Monte Carlo Casino is perhaps Monaco's most famous landmark. This opulent building, completed in 1863, is not just a casino but also a cultural hub. It features ornate decorations, grand halls and a rich history.

The casino has been featured in numerous films (it may be best known for the martini-drinking James Bond) and is known for its high-stakes gaming tables. Even if you're not interested in gambling, the architecture and the atmosphere make it worth a visit.

Prince's Palace of Monaco

The Prince's Palace, located in Monaco-Ville (also known as "Le Rocher" or "The Rock”), is the official residence of the ruling Prince of Monaco. The palace's history dates back to the 13th century and has undergone various restorations. Visitors can watch the daily changing of the guard and explore parts of the palace, including the State Apartments, which are open to the public during specific times of the year.

Oceanographic Museum of Monaco

Founded by Prince Albert I in 1910, the Oceanographic Museum is one of the world's oldest aquariums. It houses an extensive collection of marine life, including rare species and a remarkable collection of marine-related artifacts. The museum's building itself is an architectural marvel, perched on the edge of a cliff overlooking the sea. It’s a fun and educational place to visit from private boat slips for rent. 

Jardin Exotique

It’s the final resting place of many of Monaco's royalty, including Princess Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier III. The cathedral is known for its Romanesque-Byzantine architecture and its beautiful white marble façade.

Port Hercules

Port Hercules is Monaco's main harbor and only deep-water port. It’s known for its stunning array of luxury yachts. The port is a lively area with numerous restaurants, bars and shops. It's also the location of many major events, including the Monaco Yacht Show.
