Wickford Village

Wickford has a rich history that dates back to the 17th century. Its historic landmarks tell fascinating stories of the past. Be sure to visit the Old Narragansett Church. Built in 1707, it’s one of the oldest Episcopal churches in New England. Another highlight is Smith’s Castle, a colonial plantation house with guided tours and exhibits that delve into Rhode Island’s early history.

Wilson Park

For outdoor enthusiasts, Wilson Park provides green space for picnicking, walking and playing sports. There’s a fun splash pad for the kids. The park also features a boat ramp, making it a convenient spot for launching small watercraft if you’re trailering from a private boat slip rental.

While Wickford itself doesn’t have a major beach, it’s just a short drive from several beautiful Rhode Island beaches and private boat dock rentals. Head to North Kingstown Town Beach or the larger Narragansett Town Beach for a day of sun and surf.
