From bay and saltwater fishing to freshwater lakes, winding rivers and scenic reservoirs, the Yellowhammer State boasts some of the best fishing spots in the Southeast. 1. Lake Guntersville State Park

Lake Guntersville State Park in Guntersville is one of the most famous bass fishing destinations in the country. It hosts major tournaments throughout the year. The state park offers boat ramps, fishing piers and a marina that make it easy for anglers to get on the water.
